Lumbini Vidyut Udyog Pvt. Ltd. was established in the year 1977, under the leadership of Mr. Anand Mal Baid, the CEO of the company. The organization is remarkably making a pace under the umbrella of Lucky Group, one of the biggest private industrial and trading conglomerates in Nepal. The group is involved in business of trading and manufacturing of PVC compound and master batch, different types of pipes (LDPE and PVC), enamelled wires, paper covered wires, conductors and insulated cables etc.

Infrastructure
We have a sound infrastructural base that is well equipped with latest technology machines and equipment. In the production unit, each production step considers the proper resource utilization and energy conservation. The product design and production planning along with housekeeping activities are highly considered during production process. To keep pace with the advancement in the technology, we continually upgrade the production machines.

Production Process
The production process is the heart of LITMUS branded quality conductors. Each production step considers the proper resource utilization and energy conservation. The product design and production planning along with housekeeping activities are highly considered during production process. The mass balance is taken care in each step of operational techniques. The product properties are considered to be unaffected by environmental conditions in use, and Aluminum properties such as conductivity, Tensile strength, elongation, lay ratio, mass, shape and size of conductors are taken care by the production supervisors at every meter of production.

Quality Assurance
The quality control department is equipped with state-of –the- art equipment for testing Aluminium wire, Core wire and conductor as per specified standard. Our quality control team keeps a close eye at every stage of production from the procurement of raw materials to the finished product. The Routine Test is carried out to test the manufacturing process, Type Test is carried out in sampling basis to confirm the relevant specifications and the Acceptance test is done in our laboratory prior to dispatch the wires/cables as per customer demand, if required. The final product is issued with a test certificate conforming to the relevant standard. As the company has been certified with quality management system (ISO 9001:2008), it becomes imperative to ensure as the third party certification to our customers.

Packaging
We give utmost concern to the packaging of the products. Thus, every product is marked with brand name and wrapped properly. The domestic wire/cable is packed properly with the packing details in coil; however, the industrial cable is packed in non-returnable wooden drum. We pack the products in quality packing to assure the easy drum handling. The packing and constructional details of drum components can be made available to the customer on request.
